The MOTORINO™ GTx is classified as a limited-speed motorcycle (LSM) and is approved by Transport Canada to be used on all roads other than highways.This electric motorcycle is built on a 150cc gas scooter platform resembling the VESPA S 150 scooter and features 13" rims with 20" tires. Top speed is 70km/h and max torque is 100Nm (73 ft/lbs).
The MOTORINO™ GTx incorporates our improved CCT drive system for LSMs, which has a continuous power rating of 1,500W rather than the 500W rating seen in our XP MOTORINO™ scooters.
Additional features include CCT gear selection indicated by dashboard lights, improved handling and safety with the use of 20" low profile tubeless tires combined with dual hydraulic brakes employing an anti-lock break system to ensure safe and effective braking.
Unique Electric Drive Design
The CCT drive system for Limited Speed Motorcycles (LSM) provides torque output comparable to a 100cc gas scooter with zero emissions and all the advantages of a LSM classification (Class 5 Drivers license, low cost insurance). Using half the power draw required for a gas scooter and can achieve a peak power output which is much higher than the 1,500W nominal power rating.This drive system provides three electronic gears, selection indicated via lights on the on the dashboard, allowing for high torque, high speed or high range gearing depending on the riders preference and road conditions. No matter the gear selected, the CCT drive system maintains a high motor efficiency.
Hydraulic Brakes with Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
The dual hydraulic disk brakes are equipped with an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) which ensures safe and effective braking.ABS is a very important feature for scooters as it greatly reduces the possibility of brake lock up and therefore provides the rider a better chance of steering out of trouble.
Regenerative Braking System
All MOTORINO™ motorcycles also feature regenerative braking; this takes energy normally wasted during braking and turns it into usable energy which is returned to the battery pack, extending your driving range and increasing the efficiency of your MOTORINO™. Regenerative braking not only provides energy to the battery, it also extends the life of your brake pads to almost double that seen on typical gas motorcycles.Specifications:
